Toyota AYGO Modern Cars

Toyota Aygo is a quality supermini that that is way ahead of competitors such as Citroen C1 or Peugeot 107. This was possible because of Toyota's performance and reliability record. The performance is very good, considering the engine size.

The Toyota Aygo gets on with the business of driving and injects a massive dose of fun. It's not exceptionally grippy, and there is a touch of body-roll through the corners, but the Aygo feels energetic.
The used diesel Aygo is more than comfortable on a motorway cruise; more so than the three-cylinder petrol alternative. Given the 0-60mph time of 16 seconds quoted by Toyota it wouldn't be reasonable to expect anything other than lethargy, but in practice the Aygo never feels that slow or overawed by the demands of driving on the open road.

All the versions of Toyota Aygo get ABS, four airbags and a CD playing stereo (complete with auxiliary input for an MP3 player) - but the basic model has wind-up windows and no central locking. Equipment gets better further up the range - although at prices that put the Aygo into contention with full-sized superminis.
